SKYE CHALMERS
A solo exhibition with photographer Skye Chalmers
Skye prefers to exist in the present while carrying forward the skills and passions developed through the years. In addition to shooting photographs, he builds stone walls, he hunts and he fishes, each passion supporting and assisting the development of the other. He has photographed professionally for over a decade and feels fortunate to have discovered more of the natural world, whether snowboarding the Dalsnabber chute in the fjords of Norway, a humbling moment at Skara Brae, 7000 year old Scottish ruins, on the day after 9/11 or learning of the Lakota spirits in a swet on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
“The details that make a moment are many and not always recognized. I like the images that show them. The hidden pieces. The details. The little things that make an experience memorable.”
