You may see PCB mentioned on the Internet and in several commercial magazines and think you see this acronym mentioned, but you’re never sure what it means.
A lot of modern technology could not exist without a PCB instead. Basically, a PCB is a component made of several layers of insulating material combined with electrical conductors. Commonly, the insulator is made of various types of materials that can often be based on fiberglass, plastic or ceramic. When a PCB is created, the manufacturing process will actually record several sections of the PCB to leave a complete printed circuit board that can be used with an electronic component. Most are made by PCB China manufacturers, but still there are other countries too
The standard for a PCB currently, regardless of the different types of materials, is something called PIC2221A. It does not matter if a PCB is double-sided, single-sided or many different layers, the standard is still used in the manufacturing process. For a special type of technology, the designer can choose the appropriate section standards of the IPC2220 series. If the designer is using energy conversion devices, then the additional parameters are recommended by IPC9592.
As you can see, there are some variations of a PCB, and not all are as straightforward as you may think. Then, the next time you pick up the TV remote control, think about the various manufacturing processes that the PCB might have gone through before the final product was placed inside your remote control.
